How to Troubleshoot WordPress

1. Backup Your Site. #

Before you begin any troubleshooting step for your Keltech Designs WordPress website, it is highly recommended to complete a full backup. Our sites use UpDraftPlus Backup and Restore for WordPress site backups. If you can recall the last time your site worked properly, you can restore a backup. You can find the settings for this plugin located under Plugins > Installed Plugins. You are more than welcome to navigate to ‘How to Complete a Full Site Backup‘ which details step-by-step instructions on how to complete a full backup of your site.

2. Check for updates. #

Check your site’s WordPress core version is current and that security updates have been completed. Next, check to ensure all themes have been brought up to date.

3. Check error logs. #

Error logs keep track of the activity on your site.
